Just as many of the other reviews state, you’re taking a complete chance buying this because it can die from anywhere from 30 days after purchase to one day past warranty. Totally unbelievable how it can just stop working. I thought the problems that I had for two months right before it died were because of my Internet provider, now I realize that it was this piece of junk on the fritz. And finally died a couple months out of warranty. Netgear does nothing to help people with the problem of these burning out. It’s crazy how many different models they make, and how many of these they sell. But if they keep losing customers every day, they’ll eventually run into more and more problems on a company level. Companies will make junk if they can get away with it nowadays. crazy how you can pay that kind of money for something and it only lasts a little over a year. I guess I should feel fortunate, some people only got a few months out of theirs.

Bought this product off the treasure truck September of ‘19, less than 2 years ago. The product was easy to setup and worked great at first. Easy to setup wifi networks and speed was good. After about a year I started having problems with the 2.4ghz wifi band going out and requiring a full restart of the modem to get it working again. This would occur multiple times a month even after changing the channels. As of Feb 11, 2021 the modem is no longer functional. My internet went out and I checked the modem and all lights were off except the power light, which was red. I unplugged the modem and tried to turn it back on after a few minutes and now no lights turned on and it seemed that the modem was not getting any power. I tried a different AC adapter and still nothing.I attempted to call tech support but all they told me is that it sounds like a hardware issue and they recommend buying a new one. The warranty is only for 1 year and after that they won’t help you. These are not made to last and I would recommend purchasing another brand or at least another model. My next modem won’t be a Netgear.

This was a expensive modem router and I don’t feel that I got my money’s worth at all it don’t get good Signal in the living room even though within specs it should be more than capable but every day my Netflix is buffering and I’m always having issues with connectivity. I am paying for 300 MBs of speed which I used to get with my old modem or at least pretty close now I’m lucky to get 20 or 30 which with just a few phones connected at once in the living room somethings gonna start lagging not really impressed but it gets the job done and it saving me $50 a month from Xfinity so I guess I just need to go and buy an actual router to connect to this to increase the sigal

I purchased this particular Modem because the comcast guy that was at my house working on the internet suggested this one being one of the best Modems. I have security cameras that are on the entirely opposite side of the house and had to use an extender with my old comcast modem. He said most likely I would not longer need to. He was correct! The internet has never been better in my home. It would drop out and take forever to load streaming devices but not anymore. I always thought it was my internet that was down. Nope, it was the bad modem I had. This is super easy to install on your own as well.

Decided on this model after Apple bowed out of the Airport line of products, and since I didn't see any reason to keep up separate cable modem and routers - may as well just combine them into one thing. I also took the opportunity to upgrade my ISP service since I was on a grandfathered plan from Time Warner prior to them changing over to Spectrum. So long story short, between this significant upgrade in hardware and an upgrade in my internet service, I'm not getting crazy fast speeds on 5G. This router is what I'd refer to as a "tank" - it's quite big and heavy, which may not be ideal for some people but for me its just fine. I have a large house and I wanted a device that could cover the entire property and be able to get through walls for outside devices like a ring doorbell. I did buy a cheap Netgear WiFi extender to help boost the signal going to the ring device, but other than that I'm able to get online from anywhere in my house and with really incredible speeds. The setup was very easy, although I'm pretty savvy when it comes to computers & tech. Most people won't need to monkey with the settings beyond just getting their SSID's setup. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to say - it's a really powerful modem/router combo that delivers great speeds across multiple devices that are all accessing the router simultaneously. Not many better routers out there IMO - this one is definitely recommended.

This thing is awesome. Modem, router, wireless accesss point, switch all in one. It’s really fast and easy to interface with and I was surprised that there are more features than I expected. The only wish I had was that there was a setting to controlThe WiFi antanne power. I don’t need it blasting entire apartment buildings over and wasting power on that.Review of NETGEAR C7500-100NAS Nighthawk X4 (24x8) AC3200 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem WiFi Router ComboUpdate: over 2 years later and still going strong. It has payed for itself and then some in what I would have payed xfinity to use their boxes.
