This is a very nice microphone, and really love to use it almost every day, but I bought the black one and I received the gray one.The only reason I kept it, is because I haven’t time to wait for the other, but no regrets on the microphone’s operation

I recorded some birds singing with this mic in my backyard. Search my youtube channel by typing in my name "letunovskiy", and check out the quality of the recording. I am very, very pleased with the reproduction of the recording.

I had just finished cutting vocals with a TLM102 and I put this up in front of the same singer, same song and my heart sank. Yuck I thought. No clarity, no depth, dull sound. Very sterile and lifeless. Now, in all fairness, the TLM 102 is a fairly bright mic, but the TLM 107 sounded dead by comparison. A friend recommended I reserve my judgement until I tried it on other sources. Next day mandolin.... WOW, then cello... WOW, then tambourine...WOW, I ordered a second TLM107. Following week I tried them as a stereo pair...WOW the reach, accuracy, flat response, deep stereo image - these mics sound like DPA or Schoeps mics. No hype, just very real and very, very quiet. Neumann hit a home run with this mic. ( not recommended for vocals that need a boost liike a u87)
