This brand is fantastic, right down to the details. I was wary these would be a repeat of most science kits (half abandoned birthday toys) but actually it’s creative and engaging, not simply things to mix together but interesting activities that keep my 9y old excited for the days to come. You can’t go wrong with any of the advents in this brand, excellent product!

This is a fantastic substitution for the traditional chocolate advent calendars. Everything is well-thought through and of high quality. It really only takes about 5min to do each experiment. We'll be returning next year, if not earlier, to have some fun activity on rainy day.

My 6 year old and I have been doing these experiments together (which some can also be used as magic tricks) and so far she has been loving it! There are QR codes for videos if you need help understanding how to do the activity. My kid is looking forward to doing this every day. I would definitely recommend if you have a kid around age 6-12 who is interested in science and magic. Just make sure an adult has time to help with the experiments. It is fun for the adults too!

Ottimo. Il Calendario è piaciuto moltissimo a mio figlio. Ogni giorno un nuovo esperimento. Tutto perfetto. Se però ci fossero state le istruzioni in italiano sarebbe stato il massimo.

My son loves science and “magic” type experiments so this is so much fun for him! The book that comes with it to explain how each is done is very well written and it has lots of pictures to help show you what to do

Wasn’t expecting much based on previous advent calendars in general. However, was very pleasantly surprised. Excellent quality and super fun for my 8 year old. It would require direct supervision for a younger kid but 8-15 is great. It requires the ability to read. Some days it’s very simple and straightforward but some days are bit more complex. It’s well designed. Would absolutely recommend!Pricey but advent calendars (other than chocolate ones) are too expensive in general.

This was not only fun, but it was something we were able to do with our 9 year old daughter. She could do many of them without much help, but there were some that she needed assistance, but the best part was seeing her enthusiasm for opening and creating the next day’s “project.” It states everything you need is included, but there are a few things 99.9% of households will have on hand that are not included. The instruction book was clear and easy to follow and not flimsy, like the box that held each day. This was bothersome because they are all loose and easily spilled, which is not a deal breaker- you could easily find a way to present each day rather than it being so sloppy as we like to have the calendars be part of the decorations. The other downside, is having the instructional book have everyday in there. You have to make sure they do not see days they have not done and hide the book if you have kids that like to peek. It just diminishes the element of surprise. Little annoyances, but easily fixed and this may not be a problem for others. Overall, this is definitely worth it, it is a lot of fun and different than standard calendars. Highly recommend.

All the experiments are very cheap. So don’t have a lot of hope buying this. I would say if your kid is about the age of maybe 4 to 7, it will be a entertaining gift. But, you will have to do everything for them. The materials inside are very cheap quality.

Un bellissimo calendario dell'avvento con tanti piccoli esperimenti e giochi per bambini dai 7-8 anni! Veramente ben fatto, di facile traduzione e con spiegazioni molto chiare. L'unico neo è il prezzo, abbastanza alto per un calendario...però devo dire che per gli esperimenti sono compresi tutti i materiali. Molto soddisfatta e anche mio figlio! Suggerisco di farne uno anche su piccoli giochi in campo elettrico ed elettronico!

I always purchase advent calendars for all my grandchildren each year. I have the hardest time finding advent calendars for older teens that aren't babyish, and will be interesting for them to open each day. I thought that the Shocking Science Advent Calendar would fit my 18 year old very well, since she loves science and the excitement that it brings. Nope, I was wrong. These Shocking Science tricks were made for kids much younger, even though the package states that it's good for everyone from 8-99 years of age. Unfortunately, most of the science tricks are geared toward kids 8-14 (and that's stretching it a bit). I don't know any adults who would be excited or shocked by these simple tasks. Yes, there are 24 individual activities, yet I'd give this advent calendar to the younger age group.

So far it's been super fun even for my teenager who is in all advanced classes. Definitely worth it. Sometimes the less in lesson is better, fun and makes for great memories. CAUTION NOTE: Don't take for granted that these little experiments may be simple and not read the instruction book before doing each experiment!! In the booklet they have the regular instruction and also a factorial. Be sure to read everything! I don't want to tell you what we did, nothing serious came of it and we had fun results but we could have had a few more goes with this experiment if we had not missed the fact note. Nevertheless, it was a great memory and lots of fun. All of them have been so far. My child thinks it's just a blast and can't wait to get home everyday from school and now that school is out can't wait each day to open up one of those little boxes to find out what's next.I was worried at first when I bought this but I'm so glad that l did! Thank you! Great Advent fun!💕
