The picture shown in the ad is of an original chip and the one I received is different and comes in a package marked made in China. The quality standards are not the same. It still works but is a bit finicky and glitchy.

Maybe I got a bad batch, but I couldn't get any of them to work. Even the Display Test setting just causes my LEDs to flicker for a moment. I bought the exact same part from DigiKey and those worked fine. Disappointing, since the price here is much better.

Worked perfectly on my breadboard proof of concept. I didn’t really need three chips, but nice not to have to disassemble the breadboard while I build the prototype. Didn’t come with documentation but easily found online. Make sure to mate this chip with common cathode displays, NOT common anode. Also read your 7 segment display pinout documentation carefully - mine differed from the project guide I was following and had to adjust my wiring.
