It works fine with my GL450 for a few weeks now. The only complain is that it's electric connector doesn't fully match the connector on my car. The "tongues" on the sidewall of the connector were on the opposite side and I couldn't fully insert the connector. I had to snap off the groove edge of the connector on the car to get them connected.

This alternator doesn't fit well with my car. It dont functions well and I don't like it. It doesn't fit my car so I have to look a seller for it. It is not easy to install.

Somehow this little Benz "baby G-Wagon" ends up soaking up a ton of extra power as we added extra power-consuming devices over time, and the original alternator is only just good enough to keep up with factory power consumption level, and not a lot better. This replacement is night-and-day different. Lots of power to spare - I'm seeing output constantly close to 15 volts, even under high loads. I can run all the devices at the same time and this thing doesn't bat an eye at the high loads - it just works, and I think I'm even seeing more power to the coils which translates to more zest in the acceleration. Very good alternator. Very solid. Simple swap-out. Works very well with much higher power than stock.
