I have a 2015 honda Shadow Phantom. This product will not fit on my bike out of the box. I had to put it into a table vice and straighten out the bends and make it flat at the end. The holes line up no drilling required, and considering the alternative of a brand name product for over 300$ this was a good buy. Just be aware that this product may not fit you bike without reworking the metal first.

‘15 Honda shadow Aero. There’s no instructions and it won’t fit. There’s about a 3” space between the brackets and the rest of the hardware. Kind of frustrating as I always struggle with getting a bolt in with the bags.

Like everybody else has said, there are no instructions. I battled with trying to mount this until I read someone else's review where they said to mount only one bolt on one side and then on the other side but diagonal from the one just tightened. Like when mounting a car tire. It still took some manpower to do it by myself but got it done. I used the medium bolts and spacers I had from my Viking saddle bags. The chrome on mine had some scratches and flaws but it doesn't look bad. I plan on actually using it by strapping things onto it so it's going to get scratched. For what I need it for it'll be just fine. It does seem pretty sturdy though. The price is fair for what you get.

Installing this was a bit of a challenge. I had to replace the mounting bolts from m10 1.25 mm 40mm to m10 1.25 mm 50mm to accommodate for the additional saddlebags brackets. Then had to use clamps to bring the bar together. The en result was a solid sissy bar. Just took some work.

Heavy duty, all pieces are solid steel. Easy to install, fit my 2016 Honda Shadow Phantom perfect. I can’t imagine why other ones are so expensive.
