Our operation requires frequent off and restarting of our Mule SX. OEM starter lasted 700 hours but cost over $400 (from memory) so replaced it with this DB starter instead. The first DB lasted 300hrs before starting to give out and I replaced it with another DB. I'll be satisfied if this one also lasts 300hrs. Unlike some model mules, the starter on the SX is very accessible and easy to replace. If it I had to remove side covers and sheaves etc like on some models then I'd probably reconsider going with the OEM (or rebuilding the OEM). Thx

Mule 610. Looked at YouTube. I did have to loosen the housing around the gear end by taking out a couple of screws and removed the control cables around the connector end. Then, just enough room to work it out.The old one skipped and ground the gears a lot. I suspected bad gear damage, but no gear damage on the old starter or the ring gear. New starter engages instantly and engine starts in a second or two. Great.

I have 2 610 mules.on the farm.2010 & 2014Starter went out on the 2014.I ordered one of these. Took about 30 minutes to change. Works like a champ.Then month later the starter on the 2010 mule was getting weak.So I ordered another. 15 minutes tops it was changed. Works great!Can't beat the price.Quality bolt piece.

This would have cost me a lot more if I had bought it from the dealer. As it was, I got it faster and less expensive through this company and had my Kawasaki Mule up and running in less time that if I had taken it anywhere to be repaired. We did it ourselves! Runs like a top!
