This worked perfectly in my handset, and it turned on immediately after inserting. (Must have had some charge left in it during shipment and/or storage.) Not sure which ones are interchangeable with the original BT-1007s? Many are, like the BT-1015. Just read the specs so that you know it's a "2pk of AA batteries, 2.4v, with the capacity (in mAh) and technology (NiCad vs NiMH) that you want. The originals came with NiCad batteries. Look for the newer ones with NiMH, which will last longer. You'll also be able to find some on Amazon with more power than 600 mAh. (*Some with up to 1600mAh, which will last a REALLY long time, including time on an active call before it runs out. I didn't find the higher capacity ones until I'd already purchased these.)**Make sure to read the specs carefully** as some pics show NiMH, but the specs read NiCad. I'm happy with this battery, as the Uniden site had many to choose from, but all costing at least double (although with newer technology and higher capacity than the original models). Not sure how much longer I'll keep this phone set, so I was fine with this capacity, and don't regret the minimal purchase. What a convenience. Hope this was helpful.

I purchased these batteries for our cordless phones and they work great. It is difficult to find the likeness at the stores. Amazon has always come through and at a cheaper price. Thank you Amazon.

Normally with batteries of this type I was able to leave off the charger for 2 or 3 days when new before I needed a recharge. They lasted strong for months on end. Eventually those batteries would start dying and I would have to leave it plugged into the phone charger daily. However, these two batteries I recently purchased from Amazon were defective because in less than two weeks these batteries required a daily charge or else they would die.I could understand if it only happened with one of the two batteries purchased but to have it happen with both tells me that the company is either not testing the batteries prior to sale, or I just got some from a bad lot, or they are deliberately selling faulty batteries

Our cordless phone wouldn't last more than 5 minutes off the charger so I knew it was time for new batteries. We have had these phones for about 8 years why buy a new one when they still work? Batteries plus down the street wanted $17.99 for one battery so I looked it up on good ol Amazon. My phone took an older model of the battery BT-1005 but knowing NiMH is better than the Nicad went for this model. I only needed one so for $7.00 with free Prime shipping was a good deal for me. The battery was the same size and the power plugs were exactly the same as the factory battery I was replacing. I put it on the charger and I couldn't be happier with the talk time and the long standby time.
