I can't wait until next Halloween!!! I have been slowly building up my scary Halloween cemetery and these are going to be a perfect addition!! They are really bright (I got the purple lights) and creepy. They have some different fun light patterns to choose from so you can even switch it up if you want to or pick the one that suits your decor the best. Each arm has a spike to stick in the ground - I have other decor with similar stakes and these seem sturdy and solid so I'm not too worried about setting them up in the ground. They say that the battery packs are waterproof for outdoors, but I think I'll still put the whole pack in a ziplock bag just the same. It is 3 batteries each arm, which others have complained about, but I think that's fine - most battery powered light strings use 3 batteries, so this seems typical. I'm sure one set each will last through the holiday season. I kind of like it better that they are separate also - then I can place them any way I like, not limited by some common cord and not having to worry about burying the cord so much. It will be easy to set the battery pack for each arm right nearby and cover it up with some leaves. They could even be put in some sleeves on a scary figure....hmmmmm....... many uses! I also think they were a fair price for something like this - 2 sets of battery lights would be at least $10 on their own, without the fun skeleton arms! All in all, I'm super happy with these new skeleton arms and very excited to set them up next year!

I’m excited to use these next year--I pulled them out, put in batteries and checked them out but haven’t actually put them in the yard yet (since it’s January). The battery compartment was easy to get open, just plastic snaps, no screwdriver required. It does require three AA batteries per arm--each arm has its own battery pack. The bones themselves look surprisingly good close up and the LEDs are tiny and bright--there are eight different modes of lighting, some blink quickly, some slowly, and one is just on (that’s probably what I will use).The lights are wrapped very tightly around the bones and attached securely to each arm with two zip ties towards the base. I was impressed at how secure everything was due to the careful winding of the lights through the hands and arms. The stakes look good and I don’t anticipate any problems setting them up in the yard. I think for less than fifteen dollars this is a fantastic Halloween decoration and I’m excited to deploy it in the fall!

I didn't try the timer function. Not much to putting yhese together. Just tur;n down the stake and put in the ground. Each arm has a box for 3 AA batteries and a button to move through the different lighting modes. Very easy.
