Purchased this to assist in a control arm and wheel bearing replacement on a 2010 Subaru Legacy. Did the repair last night, and this saved me at least 30 minutes of fighting with the control arm. As a fairly novice at-home mechanic, many of the YouTube tutorials explained that this tool is not necessary. I expect they are right, but this made it FAR easier than fighting the weight of the car with a prybar. It is solid construction and has a protective matte/powder coat finish. The cost was well worth the time it saved me on this one single repair alone. Given how sturdy its made, I expect it will outlive my need for it. To note - reference YouTube videos if unsure how to use this tool, as based on the car and position, you will need to use one of the two fulcrum points on the tool.

There isn't a whole bunch to say here. It's a pry bar. However, it is a better design that other lower control arm pry bars, as you can easily attach a 1/2" ratchet to really allow it to pry down. I could see where you could use this for other pry needs as well.Overall, the construction was decent. It appears powder coated and I believe it would be fairly corrosion resistant. The welds seem solid and it seems like it could take abuse if needed. It is fairly long though, so this would work best with vehicles that are elevated enough. Your DIY mechanic at home might find that this bar hits the ground, depending on the raised height of the vehicle and the height of the control arm.Overall, pleased!

Worked great in removing the arm from the joint. The pegs held up great. Definitely need for doing control arm work. Makes life wayyy better.

This tool is built like a tank. The metal used is very thick and did not bend in the slightest when I used it. Using it was nice and easy and allowed me to remove the control arms with minimal fighting. For the price of this tool it is absolutely worth getting considering the frustration it will prevent.

Seriously- what a simple concept. I didn't get to try it on a lower control arm (yet) but I tested it on some things that I feel are similar. When I think of the number of times I've used a crow bar/pry bar, trying to find a leverage point...trying to find a way for me or someone to hold it in position without it slipping- and trying to get it pulled wide enough to get the lower ball joint stud to clear the steering knuckle...this will make the job much easier- being able to attach a regular breaker bar and if needed- a length of pipe for extension...add in that the one receiver hole allows for multiple positions for angles and clearance if needed. This will make the job safer as well as there is less chance of something slipping and flying or smacking someone. good idea on this one.

My father & step father were mechanics so I was raised working on cars, and have raised my 2x sons the same, also doing medium level mechanic projects (Ones that dont need computers, which is less all the time.. lol)My son needed to replace the struts on a Subaru so we needed to drop the LCA's for this.It was simple in principal, but the lowers weren't;t popping off very easily. This tool changed that and QUICK!Well designed and simple, but effective!Put this on a 30" breaker and the lowers popped right off! Couldn't be happier! If you need to pop the LCA's I highly recommend this tool! And I'll find other uses now, and I'm sure you could too!10x stars here - in life sometimes the simplest things make a difference, and this is an example!

Nice all around prying tool. Very sturdy and well made. The photo should give you a good sense of the size. This is a great tool to have around the garage, you never know when you need it. It's meant to be used with a 1/2" socket or breaker bar. Jesus is king!
