After years of service, my original Kitchenaid flex edge mixer paddle KAFE7L had some of the finish flaking off. I went to buy a new one and found they seem to be discontinued.Found and purchased this one and it fits! Its slightly noisier and rocks the bowl of the mixer a bit more, but I put that more down to the double sided scraper.I definitely scrape the bowl less than ever before, and use this every time I'm doing a recipe that calls for a paddle instead of the hook or whisk.

I bought this as a replacement for the plastic(?) version that served me well for many years. This one is metal and will hold together should I miss the point of turning it off while mixing bread dough again. I really like the spatula blades for ensuring that ingredients get fully mixed and not left on the side of the bowl. I can even use it to scrape the batter into the pan once the mixing is finished which saves cleaning another utensil.

I'm giving a 5 star because this paddle absolutely does its job. I love it! I'm just sad that the coating chips off so easy. I really wish these companies would figure something else out. I use to have a heavy duty plastic paddle but the thinner bars on the inside would crack and break. So I switched over to this metal and just deal with the chipping.

This is the best paddle attachment I’ve ever used. I no longer have to stop the mixer to scrape. It’s sturdy and works perfectly with my Kitchen Aid stand mixer.

Looks so cute on my aqua sky Series 5 Pro KitchenAid Stand-up Mixer! Works well! It shredded up fried chicken perfectly last night! It completely scrapes the bowl when making bread dough. It leaves NOTHING on the edges of the mixing bowl. I love this beater blade! It’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny! Easy to clean with warm water & soap. You must order the model that fits your exact KitchenAid Mixer.
