1.Working Principle:The original LCD screen cover board is made of special precision materials and special technology,it's very thin with best light transmission;but the high copy LCD screen is made of ordinary materials,it's not thin enough with bad light transmission, that could cause the proximity sensor can't sense and out of work.(so it's better to have a check about your lcd screen,if had replaced a new lcd screen replacement before, may cause proximity sensor still not work after installed.)

My Siri kept indicating it could not understand what I was saying. When ion a hands free call, folks were telling me that the audio was intermittently scratchy and they had trouble hearing me. After reading reviews, I ordered this to give it a shot as I wanted Siri working again. It arrived in two days. I was able to Install it in about 30 minutes being very careful after watching a YouTube video. It resolved my issue and restored the audio and now Siri works again. Happy camper.

Works great but not an easy install due to the need for thin double sided tape to hold both the cameras and motion sensor in place. It took me about 20-30 min to get everything in place after custom cutting micro bits of tape to anchor things in position before I could place ear speaker and it’s retainer back. ( granted the iPhone 6 disassembles easy compared to other phones ) but if your not a patient detailed person who can work with very small parts I would think twice about a DIY on this part.

My father had Apple replace his battery per their lie regarding battery degredation being the cause of the lost performance, and after replacement the phone speaker didn't work. Walked in with a working phone and walked out with a phone that only worked as a speakerphone. Since he had previously replaced the screen with a 3rd party screen Apple refused to even determine what the actual source of the problem was and wanted over $200 to repair the phone. Having replaced parts on iPhones previously I figured I'd buy this little cable and a replacement ear speaker and do it myself and after a 20 minute install the phone works perfectly. For as much as they bank on their reputation for customer support, I'm less than satisfied with how they treated my father. That said, this cable worked perfectly, was relatively easy to install, and fixed the problem for less money by orders of magnitude.

My phone had a bad front microphone but the front camera was fine. This part fixed the microphone, but then the camera wouldn't work. It looked very much like it had been removed from a used or broken phone - the apple logo was blacked over with a magic marker and the small seal around the camera lens was worn and slid to one side - definitely not a new "New OEM" part.I always contact the seller first and give them a chance. They wanted me to send a picture of the part and would maybe give me a 50% refund. Yea, right - I just returned it to Amazon for a full refund and ordered the part from another seller.

This worked like a charm. I accidentally broke my original one while changing my screen on my iPhone 6. This one was a perfect fit and the pictures it takes look the same. However, don't expect the one you get to have the Apple logo on it like the photo on here shows. It's a knock off, but works great.

Within a few days of purchasing a "used" iPhone 6, I found that the front facing mic had died. Symptoms were Siri not able to hear you speak and speech to text dictation no longer worked. These features would sort of work if you talked really loud into the earpiece area at top of phone by front facing camera. After research, I found that the iPhone 6 has several mic's and the one causing the problem was in this cable assy. I was able to make phone calls and the other party could hear me just fine. Voice memo's also worked as well as externally plugged in mic or when on bluetooth.I just finished the replacement and very happy to find that my mic problem has been repaired. Siri and speech to text dictation are working normally now. I also didn't realize it by my ambient light sensor must have also been bad on the original cable as now the screen brightness changes much quicker and to proper levels as the ambient light conditions change. The most difficult part of the replacement was removing and reassembling the two plastic frames off the old assy. to the new one for the ambient light and proximity sensors. Make sure you note the orientation of how they were on the original cable before you remove them and apply to the new one. The Amazon seller photo of the cable assy. shows that these are included in the new piece but they were not. I am referring to the rectangular clear plastic frame and the much smaller black plastic frames. The other difficult thing was to bend the cables properly to install back in the phone as the new assy. will come all nice and flat. Again, carefully note the cable bends on the mic and proximity sensor using your old cable as a guide. I am including a photo of the old cable for reference. I have added a 2nd photo with those plastic frames circled in Red pencil for clarity to note proper orientation.
