I do not recommend this product. It’s very cheaply made. The plastic steaks are not long enough to sink into the soil to balance the weight of a water bottle (not included) plus not long enough to keep the drip spickets out of the soil. They plug up. Very disappointing. Although good price it’s not good design nor quality.

Very disappointed. Water bottles do not fit securely on the spike and leak terribly. Would not recommend this product!

I transplant my tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, and squash into individual holes in recycled silo plastic laid over my garden to suppress weeds. This has been a watering problem, having to bend down and try to aim the hose nozzle into the hole, especially when the foliage gets bigger. My back can no longer tolerate bending in one position for the time it takes to slowly water several dozen plants. If I just water the whole surface, very little gets where the plants can access it.So, these watering spikes are just the gadget I need. I can speedily walk with the hose from plant to plant to fill all the bottles. Even with the valve open full bore, the water drains into the soil slowly enough to stay close enough to the plant's roots. It's super easy to feed each plant liquid fertilizer through the bottle from time to time.The plastic is quite sturdy. The top of the spike fits securely into water bottles or soda bottles, but is not big enough for larger juice bottles or gallon milk jugs. The spike pushes far enough into the ground to be stable without using the leaning prop.I've encountered two problems. First, the little black gasket inside the flow valve tends to get dislodged, and it's too small for me to reach in and set it straight. So, several of my spikes drip water at the threaded valve. Second, the little outlet pipes like to get blocked with dirt, even though I cleared little tunnels to insert them into. It's easy enough to pull them off and clean them out, but I'd rather not have to dork around with that. If it gets too annoying, I might try surrounding their tunnel with soilless potting mix, which wouldn't cake up like mud.All in all, though, these are a welcome addition to my garden.

These self watering spikes are exactly what I needed. I have several plants with moss poles and I needed a way to keep the moss moist.They were easy to put together. I cut the bottoms off of water bottles and use them. Having the bottoms off makes it easy to fill.I can fill them up and the water drips out and doesn't flood my plant.I fill them every other day. Since they're outside, the moss dries out quicker so I maintain a steady amount of moistness.They are so easy to use and work like a charm.I appreciate the amount I received. It says 6 but I received more than 6. I actually received 12. Thank goodness I received 12 and not just 6. 3 arrived damaged. 2 were in pieces and one has a black mart at the tip so I threw them away. I have 9 that are in use though. I need 2 more so I'll have to find something else to use.As for the price, it's great. I am very happy with these spikes despite receiving 3 that can't be used & highly recommend.
