Horrible. Starter only worked for 1 day then quit. The closest retun center is 30 miles one way from my house so I will have to eat the cost. WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN!!

after a year of using this starter I have not had any problems and still works great but kinda of losing its good shape after a year of using it alot so I think its great takes a year to lose some of its good work and still working a little well still

This starter fit my engine just fine. My mower is a 2007 1550 with a kohler engine. It was super easy to replace, just two bolts on top and a nut holding wire on the bottom. (disconnect the battery, safety first!) Makes in immediate change in how easy my mower starts. Nothing wrong at all with this starter, biggest advice I'd have is make sure the teeth count matches what you need. Will either be 9 or 10 tooth gear. I hope this was helpful.

These starters are not the same quality as the original and the castings and plastic parts show that they are a bit more economically made. That said, they are half the price of the factory parts. They do work well and should last for the remaining life of your engine.
