I purchased this replacement digitizer because it was the lowest priced one on Amazon for my iPad 6th gen. I had to salvage the old home button in order to retain the Touch ID functionality. If you use the the button that was pre-installed with the digitizer you will no longer have the touch ID functionality because the original button is hard coded to your iPad. Be very careful removing your broken digitizer glass from your device, it is imperative to use a heat gun to soften the adhesive. I would invest in a few professional grade tools to make the job go smoothly. This digitizer came with pre-applied adhesives which was a nice touch. There were no instructions with the replacement parts at all, not even an explanation of the Touch ID. Overall this was a decent digitizer for the price, I'm certain that there are better ones available but for less than $20 it was worth the chance.

Home button doesn’t work as a Touch ID. But who cares. Vigorous ripped off the broken screen. Make sure u google how to connect Home Screen button for the screen replacement. After several times of screw and unscrew. Finally the screen is working. Very happy with the results. Of course as long as it works.

Purchased 3 digitizers in the past. All of them had blind spots where touch didnt work in certain spots. This one came in perfect packaging. Flawless. And works perfectly with no blind spots.

This screen replacement works excellent. Reason for star rating is due to the pre installed adhesion not being very strong. Otherwise great product.

Home button doesn’t have touch ID So you can use your existing one if do you like. I didn’t want the extra work so I used the one that was attached to the new screen. Removal took the longest but now looks brand new.
