It's a beanie & mittens. Feels warm. Baby ears stay warmish without a hood on top. It's not super thick. Very white. Easily snags. It's walmart/dollar store quality.

This set fits nicely with enough stretch to fit newborns as they progress through early months. Feels soft and provides comfort for breezy days to help maintain our newborns temperature. They are good down to the 60s in my opinion, but I will use them as a layer if it gets much colder than that. Around the house they are great as well. They are basically a good in-between for slightly cold days and chilly homes. Just don't treat them as the solution for extreme cold weather.

Based on the description, I thought this hat and mitten set would be good for a newborn going outdoors in cold weather. It doesn’t seem warm at all. The quality is fine and the pink is a beautiful color, I ordered this because the description stated “warm” and it isn’t that at all.

The BundleJoy Warm Newborn Baby Unisex Knit Mitten and Hat Set is very soft. The elastic in the mittens is not tight. The same is true for the hat. The blue set is a light blue perfect for a baby boy. The material feels a little heavier than a tee shirt. Perfect for a newborn to ward off a chill.
