Fits just as described on my 2007 KLR650. I only wish it had a fin like the factory cap so that it could be removed by hand more easily.

I have a 2004 KLR650 and it fits perfectly, not sure why the seller says it doesn't fit Gen 1 KLRs, they all use the same engine...

Cap and ring seemed great when installed now 6 months (less than 1000 miles) in the oring is falling apart in my hands.

Didn't come with an O-ring, so after 2 days of use I look down and see my right leg covered in hot oil and the cap nowhere to be found.
