If you need shade. This makes shade. I bought two because I needed lots of shade. It's not a shady product. It's built well for making shade.

Kinda don't like these. I put them on a GH4 and a GH5, and the issue is the same: once you put the hood on it's just a matter of time for it to move around or even fall off your monitor. This isn't entirely Nicerig's fault, it's just the nature of how thin and easily movable (dare I say flimsy?) the cameras monitors are. But I feel like the same thing that makes this hood so good in THEORY- the fact that it's a little longer than many other hoods - is also what makes it top heavy and more prone to slide around.I think the material could be made a little thinner and therefore lighter. This would help.I also think the hook-and-loop fasteners ("Velcro", but that's a brand name so can't say that LOL) could be stronger. It's decent, don't get me wrong. And Nicerig had the foresight to put more than just 1 on their hoods (yeah, you know what other brand I'm referring to...). So kudos to Nicerig, they're trying.Maybe I just expected too much from this hood. It does block out the sun/ light nicely for the short time it actually stays on the monitor.For the price it's an OK purchase but don't expect miracles.

A bit of grippy piping sewn across the back would allow this to sit well against the screen and hold it's shape. The way it is constructed makes it prone to sliding. This makes the shade creep around. It's a bit too deep as well by about a half inch. So close, yet so far. You could probably construct a better one out of a black plastic notebook cover and tape. Not that you would, but you could, which is why this one is not good.

Quality materials, well designed. The advantage of this hood is that it is much deeper than others I have tried. Highly recommended.
