This is a nice desk bell, Period. The detailing is decent enough to be recognizable but there are some flaws in the etching. It's not bad enough to send back, but may be imperfect enough that I wouldn't gift this to someone for a special occasion. The sound is pleasant and it rings pretty loud. Also, know that it is fairly heavy, so keep that in mind it is handled by smaller children who may drop it onto something. All in all, I'd buy one again if I needed to but I think this one will last a while.

It makes a nice clear sound. Its a little smaller than a drink coaster but perfect for my purposes.
