In order to wear the capes, you have to wear the shirt it comes with. It has Velcro patches on the shirt and capes. I thought my nephew would be able to wear the capes with anything, but it has no strings.

This is the best tshirt/cape combo ever!!! The shirt is a very good quality, not cheap feeling at all! Did not shrink when washed. The colors and picture are bright and clear, even after washing! One of the 3 capes came with no velcro to attach it to the shirt and customer service was AMAZING!!! Within a day they had a new one shipped out to us with no issues!! This would make a great birthday or Christmas gift for any little!!! I will gladly order from this company again!!!!

My son loves this shirt. We got it for his birthday. The capes are soft and silky. I loved this buy. He can switch the capes easily. Very nice shirt! Also the quality of the fabric was good.

The shirt is better quality than I expected and fit well. My son wears 4t and sometimes 5t. The 5t fit him perfectly, so you might size up if you're not sure. The cape attaches to two Velcro tabs on the shoulders, so the capes can't be worn separately. The shirt has two very visible red Velcro tabs on the back of the shoulders when the cape isn't attached. Overall, I'd recommend if your kid is nuts about Paw Patrol.
