I just contacted customer support through the website of Nicpro. The .3 mm mechanical pencil does not extract because the metal tip may be too narrow or has too much resistance. Not sure but I believe someone else had this issue in a comment. Hope to hear from them soon. Customer support responded right away and sent a replacement immediately. I was very pleased to see it wasnt just a the defective pen but a kit that came with refill lead and eraser. It was even an upgraded pen the blocky gear 1000 this pen feels great. The blocky feel likes a wooden pencil.

I am a college student that majors in the arts, so trust me when I say that I truly enjoy this product. As written on the items, the lead is genuinely very smooth. I also love how there’s an abundance of lead, so you won’t run out any time soon. I enjoy the variety in lead size and strength, and I also like the option of using color. I also love how you’re provided pencil sharpeners along side two kinds of erasers. The packaging itself is also both stylish despite being relatively plain and is convenient to carry around. My only gripe is that one of the pencils with the 2.0 lead is having an issue, but I know that tweezers can solve said issue easily. If and when I run out of lead, I will definitely buy from this brand again!

Bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. She picked it out, so it must be what she wanted and of good quality. I believe it was required for her art class in high school. Good value for the money, I would say.

I love this set! The colored leads are (mostly) erasable! They definitely got me hooked on wanting erasable mechanical colored pencils, althought they DO wear down easily and the lead breaks easily when you get about an inch from the end. Has everything you need to start if you need good pencils with a good variety of leads, which is what I needed. Love that it has a little kneaded eraser!

This product, by no means, should be rated a 5: this is off the scale and I rate it a 10 and beyond! The quality of all the pencils and their design are superb! Plus all the lead, erasers and sharpeners that come with it make it an offer that would be foolish to refuse... even if you don’t use mechanical pencils! It would be a great time to start! Make a necklace of them or something. Use them to be displayed on a desk... these things are awesome! Even the 2.0 drafting pencils - you click the button and the lead ADVANCES WITH EACH CLICK and doesn’t spill out like most drafting pencils. These type with the advancing lead are considered the higher end mechanical pencils. This offer is so good I actually feel guilty like I robbed someone... added to my false guilt IT CAME WITH FREE SHIPPING! I am not associated in any way with the seller when I say, “order a box now!” If the seller made a penny profit per unit, he should be getting rich! That’s how awesome this set is. And man would this make a jaw dropping gift for someone! The Product, The manufacturer of the product, their workers, the seller in all facets of his selling, and all involved in the product’s delivery I rate 10 and beyond with a prayer for the inundation of The Almighty’s Blessings on every last person!
