Great value for the price — while i can only compare it to NVG's i have used a long long time ago, I was impressed with its functionality including a night vision camera. I cannot truly attest to complete darkness abilities but in extremely low light it worked great! The kit includes everything you need plus a mounting plate for, I guess, additional setup options? It also has ability to take video and pictures with the included 64GB SD card. I feel this is too small for any significant length of video at 4k but better than not including one, I guess. If I find myself taking video I’ll get a bigger card.Optical performance is quite good. I liked the binocular design makes it feel pretty natural and as long as it is snug to your head it is quite stable. The 8x zoom is amazing (feels a bit awkward at first) but, i felt like at up close (non zoomed) i was missing peripheral view or the field of view was too narrow. The manual focus is a welcome addition because not everyone is 20/20 or even vision between both eyes, I know I am not any more.I didn’t notice a difference with “Sport Mode” but anti-shake worked well, less than perfect but acceptable and noticeable. The adjustable brightness was also a welcome addition and allows you to find your comfortable brightness level.Standard expected buttons for power, IR mode, zoom, manual focus ring and adjustable head strap.Performed well in complete darkness (closet tested) but I was only really able to test in low light. I was able to see complete detail in dark corners of the yard where I normally cannot see without a flashlight.Image quality was grainy and on par with my 15yr old Security camera’s so I kind of expected a little better but at its current price point I’d say it is better than $3000 NVG form 15 years ago. I wanted to upload a video clip i shot with this but, i realized that i don't have any device that handles SD cards...Overall, I feel it exceeds its price to performance ratio making it a good buy. It works well and is a great tool for those interested in testing the water of night vision without spending a ton of money.

This is a really cool gadget for the price. While they are not anywhere near the quality and functionality of actual military NVG's, they are essentially a fully functioning night vision camera. The kit came very complete with a custom fitted styrofoam case, the unit itself, headstrap, and mounting plate for other mounting choices. They are truly binoculars, so they don't have a wide field of view for nearby objects, but they zoom and focus at distances very well. It came already charged and although there are clear, thorough instructions, I couldn't be bothered to read and just started pressing buttons. The unit is easy to figure out, on/off, mode (infrared flashlight) zoom in/out buttons and a manual focus ring which is way better than digital for those of us with glasses. I was able to see well in pitch black conditions, and it takes and stores digital pictures as well. Images are a bit grainy but are up to par with most trail cameras.
