For the price point I am VERY impressed. It is much heavier than expected and has a quality feel. The buttons have a crisp tactile feel and the base is very well designed. The image is average and I was able to see about 100 yards in a darkened forest with just the onboard light. The brightest IR setting provides crisp images even in absolute darkness. The image, while digital, fills the aperture completely. The digitally imposed selection of reticles are customizable by color and style and seems to hold zero well. The included memory card and rechargeable battery are nice features. Highly recommended.

This is not a Thermal scope in any way. It is only infrared. I took this outside and at no time could it show thermal, the instructions do not indicate it can do thermal. IT comes with a built in infrared flashlight. It indicates that you can record video and take pictures, but gives no way of getting the information off the system.I also could not get this scope dialed in very well for view. The fact that is that this is simply a cheap camera in a scope format. Its all digital and does not adjust well by mechanical means, even though that is how it is setup to be adjusted.In short it comes with all the parts, and is an average infrared scope at the end of the day. What threw it to be a 1 star is the blatant lie that it does thermal when it does not.

Decent night vision. You will need to attach it to a scope with the correct size too. This set your eye a bit further back from the focal plan, requiring some adjustment. It does a pretty good job of enhancing images at night, but it is far from military grade night vision.
