My lens arrived today and if it deviates in any way from the seller's description it's that the condition is even better than was described. I spent the afternoon taking some test shots and every function was perfect.

Lens worked great for about 3 1/2 months and and now just get a grinding sound when it tries to auto focus.

The product I purchased has arrived incomplete. According to the description, it should have come with all its parts, if not original, at least compatible. However, the leather pouch for carrying the lens was missing, as well as the lens hood. In short, it is incomplete without these items.

The lens was listed as refurbished and they did a really good job on this one. optics are clear and overall lens body looks like a new one. no complaints with the lens at all, so far.autofocus isn't quite as crisp as some of my other nikkor lens, but since I've never used a new version of this exact lens, I can't say if it's normal behavior or not. you learn to adapt and shoot around any slight differences. again, no reason to complain.however, the seller shows pics of a lens hood and a lens bag, both of which are very handy to have if you have quite a few lenses. since this lens takes a 67 mm hood/filter (which wasn't listed on the product page at all), I had a tough time finding a decent lens hood that works as well as the original (which appears to be either discontinued or impossible to find new). since they were shown both on the listing and IN the listing, the product should come with them or a reduction in price should be given. that's just deceptive and will only grow in time if customers don't call them out in it. since other reviews have mentioned this same thing, buyer beware if you need those accessories and don't feel like trying to track them down, or if you just don't feel like paying for things you won't receive.

After a hikes to try the lens out is clearly has better Auto focus. I have not noticed and searching for points quick lock on sharp and fast. The 70 to 300 zoom brings birds and animals in close . I can crop the with the good quality image for even closer good pictures.
