Lens filters are translucent pieces of glass placed in front of a camera lens to alter or adjust the light entering the camera and more importantly to protect the camera lens. Lens filters improve photographs by giving photographers control over light and allowing them to emphasize the features of a scene that they consider most important. This filter kit is a combination of the three essential filters no photographer should be without.UV--Film and a digital CCD are more sensitive to UV light than our eyes are. This often shows up in images shot from high altitudes and long distances especially over water. This filter will remove the UV light and more importantly protect your lens from moisture, scratches, and damage. Circular Polarizer--provides color and contrast enhancement. Reflected light often shows up as a whitish glare that washes out color in an image. A polarizing filter will correct this problem creating deep blue skies. It also removes glare from non-metallic surfaces such as windows and water. FLD--provides color correction when shooting under fluorescent lighting. All the lens & the adapter work great & fit to perfection. They screw on easy & stay on. The case & packaging of the items is also very nice. I did not see it in the description, but there was also a lens cap in the kit, which fits & stays on better than the original Nikon Lens cap I received with my camera or the replacement lens cap I got from another company after I lost the original Nikon lens cap. I have used all three filters & they all work great. Anyway, I hope this helps you.

Charlie from New West Direct was very helpful when I had a question. It arrived on time. I'm very happy with the quality of the filters and the adapter was easy to install. I wish the lens cover had a way to attach it to the camera as it does come of a little too easily.

These filters are as described. They screw onto the camera lens of my Nikon B700 very easily. I really like the idea of having a filter in front of the main lens to protect it.Now to get out and do some field testing and experimenting to get the best results out of them.

Only one of the lenses fits the camera. Tried the first one on, it fit, put them in case. Took them out to use and only one fit. No description telling you which lens is which.

Works as described. The adapter ring fits perfectly into the weird three-segment threads on the Nikon B700 and holds the filters securely; I never had a problem with it coming loose. Only 3 stars just because I don't love having to buy an aftermarket special fitting for a $400 camera that doesn't have a standard filter thread!There is some vignetting at full wideangle if you have the filter attached, especially if you stack two filters (UV+polarizer for example).

Nice case separating the 3 lenses and easy to assemble with adapter ring. One big drawback for me is that the new lens cap lacks a hole to attach it to the camera strap!
