I used this unit for an extensive whole-house renovation of an antique house that included wall demolition, removal of plaster, lots of lead-paint work, sheetrock, etc. I initially thought the Nilfisk seemed kind of light to handle heavy duty tasks, but was pleasantly surprised by its power and versatility. It's light in weight, so easy to move up and down stairs or in and out of tight places. The hose is long and flexible (unlike typical Shop Vacs). It's quieter than my Rigid ShopVac, and has a real HEPA filter/bag so I can vacuum up dirt and sheetrock dust without worrying about blowing it back into the room. Would recommend. One minor downside: the hose end is 35mm, not the 1-1/4" that fits the the ports on a lot of power tools, like sanders. You'll have to get an adaptor (sold for other European brands like Miele and Bosch).

Pretty decent vacuum. The hose is like wrestling a large snake. The hose is not flexible enough, and the vacuum does not follow you asthe wheels are not all casters so I have to constantly stop and pick it up to get it to follow me.The noise level is too much for a medium to large job. I have to stop the vacuum and wait because my ears hurt.Consider a more flexible hose, using all casters for vacuum mobility, and reduce the decibles to less than 64 db and I would gladly pay theextra for a vacuum this size.

Stopped working after a month. Had to send it back for repair. My $35 home depot wet dry vac lasted longer with stronger suction. Save your money.
