Designed for use with a factory tow package that has a 7-way connector, and equips with a 7-way socket for plugging in and towing a trailer. It can be used to connect trailer brake lights, taillights, reverse lights, turn signals and an auxiliary power wire.

Install was not overly difficult but time consuming. Imagine my joy when I finished the project only to learn I had NO lights with this plug. No clue why. One of these days I'll try a different product.

Quality of the harness feels good, didn't install to test it but the Flat 4 way plug is not your standard plug as mentioned by others. In order to work with standard 4 way plugs, you need to cut back some of the plastic which is unfortunate.

My mechanic said it would take a complete rewiring job at the back end of my vehicle to use this. I returned this kit and bought a simple adapter for use while towing my trailer.
