How Do Three-way Catalytic Converters Work?
A three-way catalytic converter has three simultaneous tasks:
- Reduction of nitrogen oxides to nitrogen and oxygen: 2NOx → xO2 + N2
- Oxidation of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide: 2CO + O2 → 2CO2
- Oxidation of unburnt hydrocarbons (HC) to carbon dioxide and water: CxH2x+2 + [(3x+1)/2]O2 → xCO2 + (x+1)H2O.

Medida perfecta, trajo el kit completo, y la montura fue excelente. El cambio le hizo un Cambio radical al honda accord 2004 . Le dio la potencia original del carro. El honda no tenía fuerza al dar la aceleración y con este nuevo catalizador, ahora corre como si fuera sacado de la fábrica

Bought to replace after ours being stolen, has been on for about 2 months. No check engine, no issues. Worked and matched up perfectly just as stated. Was super easy to install with simple tools. Would absolutely recommend and buy again (although hopefully we don’t). Lol

I had a p0420 (catalytic converter died, o2 was done!). This replacement was efficient! I cut my old bolts out with a Milwaukee saw and popped out the old one, cleaned the pipe faces, silicone one the gaskets and bam, CEL gone! Heat with no exhaust fumes kicking in. Problem solved with this product and it sounds good to on acceleration too! Also didn’t hurt that gave my Accord a pvc valve, valve cover gasket, spark plugs and sway bar links and bushing makeovers. Happy buyer. #DIYS
