My father was a tailor... and a milliner. And one night he sews off crazier than usual. Mommy gets the Singer to topstitch her seam. He doesn't like that. Not. One. Bit. So, me watching, he takes the needle to her garment- laughing while he does it. He turns to me and he says "why so serious"? He comes at me with the needle. "Why so serious? Let's put a patch on that jacket". And... Why so serious?
