Ive never used one before so I was pleasantly surprised by this tool. It allows you to only dial pressure from it's 3 settings rather than messing with the regulator or your guages manifold. It's 3 options are off, flush, and Braze. It does not leak when attached properly, snug up the ¼" fittings by hand and you're good to go.

I was shocked and surprised at the size, and fell in love with it.Very compact and simple to use; off, purge, and braze with metal housing and quick turn knob with all metal construction.Installation is quick onto the existing regulator, I used the VN-650 and the VN-650, which is really big and heavy duty, but Finding replacement to the gauge if you crack it or damage it, it is hard and haven’t been able to find one at Baker or anywhere else. You have to buy another. No choice.But this regulator changes all of that, it will give you a compact and budget friendly control for purging at around 25-35 cubic feet per hour (34 cubic feet per hour, tested at 100psi with regulator) and I really liked the brazing setting, as the pressure is also set internally to around 3-6 cubic feet per hour (5-6 cubic feet per hour at 60psi). All while keeping your regulator and always on the bottle.Having to change regulators for high pressures and then for the brazing and lower pressure test, is tedious. Specially when tired, or when time and hot temperatures make it even more so.I just keep my high pressure regulator on, and will keep this to do quick purging or brazing, and if I need to take it off, it’s just a standard 1/4” hose connection. I would rather not keep changing regulators ON and OFF to do brazing/purging with other heavy regulators it would also save my regulator brass connections from wear.Only time will tell if the settings can be reliable, but judging by the feel and how it works, it is sturdy and its metal construction takes it to a high likelihood. You can’t go wrong.P.S. I’ve used the VN-500 and the VN-650, they are heavy and work well, but no parts for it and I have to change regulators on the daily and it wears the brass nut. This regulator changes that task to a 4 second change when using high pressure test.Recommend it.
