The plug appears to be manufactured from high quality material and machining standards. The large end of the “00" plug is a light slip fit with the I.D. of a ½ inch galvanized or PVC pipe and readily expands to form a water tight seal. That is exactly what I wanted for my application. However, if I were removing and replacing the plug annually, I would purchase the “01" size for a ½" pipe to ensure a short length of exposed rubber past the end of the pipe. I think this would still form a water tight seal while the exposed length of rubber would facilitate removal.
