Bought the shoelaces for the colour. Difficult to install the buckle. I guess it’s just a matter of practice. Pleased with the end result but not the process.

If you take your time threading the laces, they turn out nicely.

Looks and works very nicely; take a little effort to get set to the correct tightness. I have two pair. After adjusting shoes fit well and are much easier to put on and off.

I thought they were very thin at first. But after lacing them, the elastic was just right. They made on/off the shoes easier. I like them. I walked on treadmill for an hour wit these shoes and felt just right.

These elastic shoe strings allowed a person with Parkinson's to be able to put shoes on in seconds without assistance or struggling. They take a little longer to lace initially although could be done by an adult or child. I suggest putting them in and tying them for the first few days so that adjustments can be made. Put them in so they are NOT stretched out but not loosely. Once you are sure they are the right fit then follow the directions to put on the clasp, tie a knot, and then burn the end of the laces so they do not fray. Hot glue would work as well. They work great for soccer shoes as well. I recommend lacing them in reverse for soccer or baseball shoes with the tie at the front of the shoe, which will be the clasp. That way they don't have as much pull on the clasp putting them on or for soccer kicking the ball. The clasp is small and doesn't interfere with kicking. They are really great for any type of athletic shoes. I highly recommend for children, adults and those with fine motor challenges. I would like to see some of the new slip in type shoes to come with these already laced for those with difficulty putting on their own shoes. The smile on the face of someone who has lost their sense of dignity, in not being able to put on their own shoes, that now can because of using these shoe laces, is priceless. If you have purchased slip in shoes and they were still unable to put on their shoes, order these and try again.

Genius! I bought some sketchers slip-ins and the shoestrings they use is a little restrictive and there is no way to adjust it. I cut it off, installed these and it's perfect! Definitely recommend, buying another pair.

They look good and do the job, but when I twist them together to tighten, the laces also twist up skinny. I can fix that but takes more time than tying shoes.I also wonder how long the elastic will last. However , came with 3 laces and one cut in half did the job, so I might do really well there.

I was getting new work shoes and wanted something like the Sketchers Slip-ins but couldn't find what I wanted or liked. I did get a Sketchers work shoe and added these stretch strings and they are great. Easy to install and came with an extra string in case you messed up. I cut mine long and kept shortening them until I got the correct tension for my feet. Had them about a month and no issues.

I'm in my 40's and only JUST discovered elastic shoe laces. If you're like me and can't be bothered to sit down and tie your shoe laces everytime you put on your shoes - check these out. The laces are (obviously) elastic and super easy to "install". They lace up like any other shoe lace and the hardest part is getting the turnbuckle installed, due to the stretchy-ness, but with a little guess and check, you'll be just fine. In the end, you have laces that allow you to slip your shoes on and off easily, without having to tie or untie your laces. Due to the flex, you shoe will fit as snuggly as you like - every single time. While walking and running, my shoe remained snuggly on my foot and I didn't need to worry about laces coming undone or loosening. All in all - sure, these laces are a little more expensive than traditional ones, but for me, the the premium is worth the convenience!Tip 1: before installing the barrel buckle, put your shoe on and make your adjustments - tightening or loosening is much easier BEFORE your cut your laces!Tip 2: Once you have the laces adjusted, mark the laces where you want to cut with a pen - doing your best to account for stretch. Again, this is all much easier to do before you cut the laces.Tip 3: Use a lighter to melt any fraying. I didnt do this the first time around and the treading ended up running. A little bit of flame helped pull everything together.
