the magnet works very well plenty of power. only had 2 concerns 1 the base had a slight rock to it maybe a burr or nick I had to lap it in with a stone not a big deal. 2nd the very last nuckell or the tip that has the fine adj. knob is made of plastic any thing made out of plastic will not hold up over the long haul. all and all if it didnt have a plastic tip i would have gave it 5 stars.

Upgraded from a Elcheapo old school holder after It dropped an indicator while positioning it. There is no comparison between the two. Super positional and holds well. Most importantly, the ease of use has me indicating more.
