Kit is made from aluminum which is nice in the quality department, but it lacks in several other areas. Also, a side note - my grille came in scratched (inside bubble wrap which means it was knowingly packed that way), but because it was on the inside of the intake cover I decided to install it anyway since it would not be seen, but must indicate the quality control is - read on.1 - No template for the grille so you have to try to make one.2 - Instructions are basic (three steps) and do not provide details about any of the installation. Fortunately it is not a hard installation nor is it complex in design... I guess that is par for the course and what you can expect from the seller3 - Size of drill bit needed to make the holes for the plastic rivets is not provided from manufacturer so you are expected to either step up till you get it right, or size the rivet and pick the right drill bit.Just the highlights of my experience.

I've seen several reviews complaining about the lack of instructions and/or template. If you need the instructions to figure this out, you probably should just take your SxS to the dealer and have them install it for you!It definitely did help with noise coming from the airbox area. Did it cut the noise in half? No, but definitely quieter and ever little bit helps and at the price point, it's worth it.

There’s no template to mark the cut lines on the intake cover. You’ll need to make your own. The screws are a bit long and one was actually in contact with the coolant reservoir. I ended up getting some stainless screws with locknuts. Kit came with zero instructions, just have to figure it out.

The clutch noise on my X3 is louder than the engine, and of course is ducted right into the back of my head from the factory. This kit does a remarkable job at fixing that. It's probably still just as loud as far as a decibel meter goes (I have not checked but Youtube reviews haven't shown much improvement) but it REALLY removes a lot of the harshness and high frequency noise that irritates my ears. Definitely recommended, especially for the price. The plastic air shroud is easy to cut, but go slowly. Remember you can always make a small hole bigger, but you can't go back if you cut it too large.
