Wholesome Harvest Quail Layer Blend is designed for adult quail made from a variety of ground Non-GMO Grains. We crush these grains into smaller pieces for improved digestion for smaller birds. This feed is a powdered mix and is ready to be fed right out of the bag. It is 26% protein and contains additional calcium content for egg producing birds. This mix contains roasted soybeans, corn, wheat, alfalfa, herbs, diatomaceous earth, kelp, probiotics, and more. All Non-GMO and made at the Ernst farm in Clear Spring, Maryland.

My quail love this food and egg production went up.UpdateQuail loved it unfortunately had to stop ordering it after two bags ordered were unsuccessfully delivered in order abruptly canceled. Cannot order food from a company when I can't depend on the delivery.

Since there are mixed reviews on it being powdered or unfit to feed because of how ground the feed is, I asked the company to see if this feed is supposed to be fermented like a few reviewers have stated or fed as is. This is what they said:The folks who are claiming that our Quail feed is unfit to feed because it is a powder are incorrect. Our feeds are ready to be fed directly out of the bag. We intentionally grind all of the grain in these mixes to a powder so the feed can be digested by smaller birds such as quail. Fermenting can be done to a powder feed like this, but it is not necessary! Start feeding when birds start laying eggs.I haven't been able to try it out yet as my quail are only a few weeks old at the moment but I bought a bag and am going to try it out. Anything to help with how the health and smell of the quail and making sure their eggs are amazing is mu number one and so far most reviews say this feed does all of that. Will update in a few months when I have time to try it out.

This feed is great for my laying quail. The quail love it and it has all the right nutrients their bodies need. I have purchased many bags of this feed and it is always shipped quickly and arrives in perfect condition. Great feed!
