Our pleated design provides three times as much carbon media per A/C filter but maintains excellent air flow. Our Pure Carbon air filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. There is a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. The air conditioner filter media will not support the growth of mold or bacteria. These activated carbon, odor eliminator Pure Carbon AC furnace filters can be used in residents as a stand-alone filter. They can also be used as a pre-filter in high-efficiency commercial HVAC units. They remove levels of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) such as chemicals from household cleaning products. It is important to regularly change your AC air filters especially during any home improvements for fresh, clean air in your home or office. For maximum odor control, we recommend that you replace your air conditioning filter every 30-90 days. Important Note: Almost ALL furnace filters have a different "actual size" than the nominal size printed on the air condition filter. It's best if you measure your air filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our Actual Size - and then you can be sure your A/C air filter fits!

These ship loose in a cardboard box without any plastic sealing - so the carbon is exposed and as a result it isn’t going to do much. If it were just one filter, that might be OK if it hasn’t been sitting too long at the factory but since they only ship as packs of multiple units I have to seal them up in plastic bags when they arrive.

They have changed the MERV 13 carbon filter since our last order. Now the carbon side is a thin, flat, see-through layer. These filters used to have a thicker, pleated carbon filter layer. I took apart the old filter, and there is a huge difference. Very disappointed in the change in quality. The product description still says pleated carbon layer. Will have to find a quality replacement.

The frame on these allow for more airflow and less noise than the FilterBuy brand. These are very reasonably priced as well. My go-to filter since no one sells 10*10*1 filters anywhere locally.

Great product and I wouldn't use a filter than the grade of this one (MERV 13). I noticed Costco has a similar one of the same grade. I'll have to compare prices.

Actual filter size was 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 3/4 as described! Fit perfect!
