We like the feel of the material but the size 8 (small) is practically the same as the size 10-12 (medium), going up to the mid-chest of our 7 year old. Is it worth returning or just waiting until he grows another season (or two)?

This is a Christmas gift but looks like they will fit fine. The pants are very long but can be easily hemmed. I’m satisfied with this purchase.
