JUST SPRAY & GROW!
Our beginner-friendly, USDA-certified organic oyster mushroom countertop kits make growing your own mushrooms so easy. Just open the front of the box, cut an “X” into the plastic bag, spray with water 2-3 times a day, and watch them grow!
STARTING YOUR KIT
OPEN
Open the front of your kit along the perforated line. Look at that mycelium!
SLICE
Slice an 'X' into the plastic within the opening with a sharp knife or scissors.
SPRAY
Fill the included sprayer with water and spritz where you sliced your 'X' at least twice daily.
HARVEST
When the mushrooms are ready, pick the entire cluster off by hand. ENJOY!

I tried to find a link to contact the company before I posted this, but couldn't. Anyway, this was my 2nd time growing shrooms. The first was from a different company, but it went great. This time, my dining room was zooming with fruit flies or something of the sort, after opening the bag. I moved the operation to the garage and am hopeful of a successful yield. Just an FYI about bugs in your house.

Don't bother. I saw this company on the YouTube "Outdoor Chef Life". I've had many mushroom kits. I bought it from Amazon Prime because the shipping from Maine to Oregon on the website was almost as much as the kit. I also bought a Lionsmane kit which did sprout and is working. So I went to North Spore, sent them all the info on my dead Oyster Mushroom kit and they could not find my order on Amazon. They did stop responding to me. I went back to Amazon to get my money back. I would prefer that North Spore send me another kit. If they were a smart company they would realize they lost a customer. There must be a lot wrong between their connection to Amazon and their customers. I felt like I had to prove to NS I had actually bought something from them! - this is after sending them the product # and grow date. Stupid customer service! Not worth even one star but Amazon requires it. I wish they had negative stars.

I'm very happy with this kit. I've threatened myself with the idea of growing culinary mushrooms for many years, but was intimidated by the sanitation and procedurals associated with it, but now upon reflection I think I may be getting the bug. This kit took the stupid out of me and simplified everything, just cut and water-done deal. I have to confess being a bit alarmed when, after about a week and a half the first head popped out with pins on it, and I thought "hmm". The next few days were even more alarming; I am certain if I sat all day long I would have literally watched these things move they grew so darn fast. I was beginning to wonder if I had invited a transplanetary entity into my home! They were like Aliens, man...they doubled in size the first night of fruiting-QUADRUPLED in mass and volume on the second night, and continued prodigiously for about 5 more nights-I regret not setting a time-lapse camera on it. I just harvested my first fruiting today, threw them in a cast iron with butter, italian seasoning and light salt and THEY WERE SO DELICIOUS alongside the remnants of a wagyu tenderloin roast. I felt like I'd eaten a meal made for a king, and I felt great having successfully brought them to fruit-little though I may have done. I am now coming down with grand visions of going the full-bore route of buying spore kits and utilizing huge containers in my basement at this point. Thanks North Spore-this was an awesome experience. If I wind up going full-bore, I apologize for not buying more of your kits but that may well be because you inspired me on to bigger and better things. :)

Loved that I was able to grow these mushrooms. However, it was infested with or attracted lots of small flies into my house. I ended up putting it outside under a bush and it grew beautifully. A great gift
