I ordered this as a replacement snow blanket, as the previous one I ordered was so thick that my figurines would not stand up on it. However, this particular snow blanket is thin enough that ALL of my figurines stay put, and that is what I was aiming for. This is the perfect snow blanket. I prefer the thin as opposed to the thick snow any day. This is perfect for my holiday village!!

Love this stuff as a base layer. It has glitter in it so it sparkles when light hits it. Some folks complain it's thin but that's the way it's supposed to be, if it was "fluffy" it would be difficult to use as a base. So, here's how to use it. Roll it out to cover the area you want to set your village on. You can cut it to fit, if necessary, but I usually leave several inches of excess blanket towards the back of my display, then after I lay down my cords and wires, I fold or roll the excess over the wires to help hide them. First, I place all my buildings and larger accessories then, I set up my street lights by applying self adhesive velcro discs to the bottom and then sticking them to the the snow blanket. After I have placed all my trees, people and small accessories I tear pieces and strips of thick fluffy Buffalo Snow blankets and make snow drifts, fill in the spaces between and behind the buildings and cover up any remaining exposed cords and wires. Then after everything else is done I take loose glitter snow flakes or iridescent snow flakes and sprinkle them over everything . You can't really use too much of this stuff. At the end of the season, I shake off as much of the loose snow as I can into a plastic bag to use again, fold up all the snow blankets and pieces of Buffalo Snow and put those in another plastic bag and use them next season too. I only replace this stuff when it starts to look dirty. It's all about using the right products to achieve the best results and this is by far the best product for your base layer.
