I often have Grand Kids over, playing in the back yard with balls or frizbee that get stuck in the trees. We would throw things like rocks and sticks to try to get them down with little luck most of the time. So we ended up waiting days or weeks for them to fall down on their own. I would often try to think of something to ty to the end of a rope, that was not too heavy or too light, to shake the branch. Nothing came to mind. However, recently, I noticed that an oak tree near the end of the house was getting too close to my roof, and decided to cut the intruding branch. I have a chain saw and ladder, but cutting it could damage the roof and siding. The solution was to have my adult son pull the branch away from the house as I cut the limb. I wondered how the pros do it all the time. So, a little research at Amazon and I found this item. The very thin and very strong rope, and the perfect weight, worked great. Got it where I wanted it, cut some of the "string" and tied it to a larger rope and made a loop around the branch. As I was on the ladder cutting, my son was able to pull the branch away from the house. Perfect. I recommend tossing it under hand. Better distance and accuracy. Now I have something to use when the Grand Kids get their toys stuck in the trees.
