Files get filty with an oil grim in my tool box drawers. This carder does a great job of cleaning them out so their teeth can bite again.

getting solder out of the teeth on my files is my goal and any wire brush does not really do that. I took a piece of copper tube about half an inch in diameter and use that to scrub them. it can be slow going, wonder if someone makes a wheel shaped copper one? it does work ok just to get random gunk off, but i'm not sure that is even necessary. the file teeth are sharp enough. i use swiss-cut (double cut) files mostly
