The original Garmin battery was 600 mill amp. This replacement battery is a 500 mill amp. This may be why so many of the reviews are so poor and state that the replacement battery is garbage. The battery is not as advertised and is not a true replacement.

The video provided by the seller was perfect, it is much easier than it seems. The only issue I had is that the seal on the faceplate didn't reseal very well since so I applied some clear adhesive glue and it works great. Battery life on the Garmin was lasting about 2.5 to 3 hours before.I also did not use a tiny hot glue gun to cover the wires, I used a superglue gel instead, let it dry and it's been working like new. It probably took me 25 mins to walk through each step carefully, let the glue dry, replace, and test. The battery was already at 65 percent and arrived with everything you need except the glue and wire strippers. I had already called Garmin to see if they would warranty, but it was a number of years past the coverage. Literally, works like new now.

Power connector would not stay connected. Should have bought a battery bank and velcroed it to my handlebars. Ruined my Garmin and had to replace.

Installation is a bit involved. After installing my garmin works but the speaker doesn’t work. Might be better if you use sauter not glue. Screen needs to be glued in to stay put. I personally don’t care if the garmin makes sounds so I’m happy with the replacement.

STRAIGHT TO THE POINT... This battery is garbage. You charge it, but when you use it, the battery will drain in less than 5 minutes, or the Garmin will go crazy turning on and off.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY; this product is GARBAGE. I wish I could get a refund.By the way... I gave it 1 star because I have to. But this product doesn't deserve a star.
