I replaced the battery in a Garmin #2689 automotive GPS. The New Power99 kit included an instructional CD, battery and the required tools. After watching the CD, it took about 20 minutes to replace the battery. The cost of the battery kit was much less than the cost of a new GPS and of course, that Garmin model is no longer available.

The battery was used to replace the battery in my Garmin GPS. It worked perfectly. The instructions to replace the old battery that came with it were very easily understood.

Battery came quickly and installed easily following video instructions, but the one I received was an 1100 mAh battery and not the 1500 mAh battery advertised. Works OK so I'm keeping it for now.

Battery was OK but the mini torx driver supplied in the kit was worse than worthless. In fact it stripped some of the screws.
