About this item

  • Manual on/off control for override of time or sensor switch
  • 120/240 VAC input voltage for multiple uses
  • Single-gang in-wall enclosure for indoor use
  • Country of origin: United States

This NSi Industries LCS115M momentary switch accepts 120/240 VAC input and its SPST output contacts can activate a 15 amp load. The single-pole single-throw (SPST) contacts are housed within a single-gang wall plate. This momentary switch is Underwriter Laboratories (UL) Listed and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certified for quality assurance and is suitable for momentary contact in overriding a time or sensor switch to control lighting.

Automatic switches are used to turn on or off electrical devices and are activated by time, light, and motion. Time activated switches (also known as timers) operate at preset time intervals during a daily or weekly period and can be either mechanical or electronic. Mechanical timers feature a dial with multiple pins to set the on/off time intervals. Electronic timers feature an LCD display and pushbuttons to set the time intervals. Light activated switches (also known as optical or photo) operate when ambient light levels reach preset values, generally measured in foot candles. Motion-activated switches (also known as motion sensors) operate when an electronic field of a preset range is interrupted. These switches can include energy saving logic that uses combinations of time, light, and motion to operate and can include one or more device outlets or circuit contacts. Automatic switches are used to control indoor lights, outdoor lights, appliances, and small equipment motors.

NSi Industries manufactures electrical components and sensors, lighting products, and energy management products. The company, founded in 1975, is headquartered in Huntersville, NC.

This thing is awesome! I hooked it up to the kitchen garbage disposal. That way, if there's something in it like a fork, and it makes a big noise, you'll jump back from the switch and it will turn off immediately.

I like this switch, and it works fine, but it is way too expensive for what it is. I returned mine in favor of push buttons which were less than half of what this cost, work the same, and look really nice. For heavy duty applications, this switch can handle a lot more power than a push button.

This is a heavy duty switch. Actually too heavy heavy duty for my purpose, but it is what was described and I needed a momentary switch. This does the job, well made and will likely last longer than I will.
