These are GREAT spoons for a little one that's just learning how to eat from a utensil. These three spoons are actually three different stages / meant for three different types of spoons. The blue spoon is meant for the earliest stage and purees proceeding on to the red and ultimately the green which is meant for (mostly) small solids or chunkier things. The reason that this is important is that these aren't "traditional" spoons. Rather, they are fairly flat so they can be used in EITHER direction - there is no upside down. So they don't cup the food, rather they "trap" it in the indentation - and the indentations get larger to hold bigger and more solid foods. This helps little ones learn to feed themselves much more easily. On that same theme, the spoons are both fairly short and chunky so they're easier for small hands to grab, hold and use. They're a durable non-BPA plastic (they CAN be boiled but they can't be steam sterilized - I've just been washing them in warm soapy water and they come out clean, albeit that the staining foods like carrots and sweet potatoes take a bit more time to get out) and so can stand being tossed about a bit.So if you're looking for a great way for your little one to start eating solids - and to start feeding themselves - this could be just the utensil you're looking for. Give them a try today!

I'm a fan of this brand, Nuby, for other teether toys that we have, which are cute and a good value. This spoon set is no exception. The spoons are a good size for little hands and our baby likes the silicone textures- maybe a little too much, since sometimes he'd rather chew on both ends of the spoon instead of eating.Because of that, the only criticism I have is that the handle is made of plastic and not silicone, so I worry about microplastics when I heat sterilize them or when baby is chewing on the handle.Nevertheless these spoons are very functional, in cute colors, and a good value. They hold thick foods well on both sides which helps when baby is trying to self feed and doesn't yet understand how to get food off a spoon with his lips. One of the spoons has a cut-out that's great for mashing foods into smaller pieces. I would recommend them to parents starting their baby on solids.

These spoons really surprised me with how they look, but each one is tailored to a different stage of starting solids—thin purees, thicker foods, and then semi-solids—which makes the transition smoother for both baby and parent. The silicone is soft and gentle on little gums, and the handles are chunky enough for tiny hands to grip easily. Our baby actually enjoys trying to self-feed with these, which is a big step toward independence (even if it’s still a messy process!). The colors are cheerful, and the set has held up well through daily use and dishwasher cycles. One thing to note: if food dries in the small cutouts on the pink spoon, it can be tricky to clean—but rinsing right after each use solves that.Overall, a great set for introducing solids and encouraging self-feeding. Practical, cute, and well-made. Definitely recommend for any parent just starting the solids journey!

These spoons are amazing! I wish I knew about these or they made them years ago when my other kids were younger. They have made the experience with starting solids so much more enjoyable and have given my baby girl more independence in her eating. It’s a very simple design and very easy to use and the three spoons help with the transition of fairly watery purees to thicker foods. She’s able to hold them herself and feed herself which has made her more open to trying new foods. They're the perfect size for her to hold and eat from. While this does still get messy, I feel it’s worth it. She will at times fling the spoon and yes, food will go everywhere so I have to watch her very closely. But still worth it for her development. The pink spoon is somewhat difficult to clean if food dries in it but I found if I run it under hot water as soon as she's done eating it's fine. The other two spoons are much easier to clean. And I've thrown these in the dishwasher without issue.

You know that feeling when you get rid of allllll the baby stuff because you are sure there will be no more grandkids coming…. And then you find out there is one more. A blessing, for sure! But then you need to get all of the stuff all over again. This set of 3 flat spoons for first foods are perfect and I love them. First off they are flat and hold just enough soft food that you can quickly slip into a babies mouth. There are 3 different spoons for different types of food: purées, thick purées, and then a semi-solid food. I don’t think I realized that with the first 2 grandkids, so we just used any of the 3 types of spoons for any type of food and that worked well. Another thing I like is that the handles are nice and big and an oval shape which makes it easy for those little hands to grip when they start feeding themselves. The other thing that I like about these is that when the baby inevitably grabs the spoon from your hand, there is not a whole lot of food on there in the first place which means the adult is going to stay a lot cleaner. Babies just seem to be able to fling food around no matter what you do.This is a nice addition to the baby drawer.
