Well I used calgon can leak sealer for years, wasted many cans trying to get it in , then one day I figured out there is a strader valve where the hose connects to the T handle, so you need to unscrew the blue hose from the T handle and remove the valve and put back together, it works way better that way

This Piercing Valve and Hose worked fine after removing the Schrader valve installed in the hose at the end connected to the piercing valve. Otherwise, there is no way to purge the air after connecting the hose to the low pressure port of the AC System. To remove the valve, you need to disconnect the hose from the Piercing Valve using a 10 mm wrench. Then you will see the Schrader valve in the hose and, with a 4 way tool (it costs less than 2 dollars in Walmart) you are able to remove the Schrader valve. The 4 way tool, is the same used to remove tire valves from cars or bicycles.

A good way to put chemicals in your A/C system, but I found done that do what they say.The Fix leak stuff didn't work and now my compressor is shot. Did this cause it? Don't know.It was old to begin with (14 Yrs) so time for a new one anyway.

The product worked great. After connecting the hose to the can and the suction port, Before piercing, I tried to remove moisture/air by loosening the can side but the freon from the system didnt come out. I was worried that the hose has a block and tried unscrewing the hose from the piercing valve. There was another valve to prevent freon to come back to the can. Since the freon is not supposed to come out as per design I was confident and proceed with piercing and added Easy Dry and Easy Seal.

Used for Easy Seal and Easy Dry. The instructions online say that you need to bleed the line of air by connecting the hose to the AC low pressure side with the canister attached to the other side of the hose then back the canister off a little but this does nothing as the hose has a 1 way valve. This is probably because venting r-22 is illegal. Apart from this one difference in procedure, this hose does what its suppose to.
