The only downside of the Nutcracker mold is that if I use it for resin molding, the resin will flow out of its feet as there is no "dam" to keep it from flowing out. The other set was smaller than expected.

I got these silicone molds to use for casting resin, but I also like to mold chocolate occasionally, so they will probably also get used for that too. The ornaments are quite small, as you can tell from the picture. The thing that gets me though is that there is no lip around the bottom of the nutcracker's feet! The resin or chocolate, or whatever, will just drain out if there is not something put down there to plug it. This does not seem at all clear from the pictures, which feature nutcrackers with large well-formed shoes. I'm not sure how they did that, but I'm going to have to be creative to be able to use this mold. Maybe they used nuts - which would work with chocolate, but not so much with resin. I find it puzzling because the picture of the mold also shows no feet (which I did not notice when I ordered to be honest), but the sample pictures all have feet. It just seems weird.

High quality molds, and very detailed. I had bought them as a possibility for a client, but they went with a different mold. I use fondant molds sometimes for melt and pour soaps, where I'll attach the fondant mold soap to a larger base soap.
