They switched the product. It is now- made of cheap looking pine- different construction work two square connectors, target than one round- not treated in any way. If you plan to use it for a long time, you have to oul/wax/varnish it or it'll change colour and hard to clean tooI contacted the seller and that had the audacity to claim it was just the light in the pictures!Photo shows the product on an actual bamboo surface for contrast.

This is a simple, elegant design, and beautifully made - I've just received my second. Supplied with small, clear sticky pads so it can't scratch your table/desk (you don't see these so they don't detract from the design), and very easy and quick to put together - although I did need a dab of glue to hold the dowel in place. Sturdy, comfortably holds a laptop at the perfect height, and can tuck away if you turn it upright, or stow your keyboard out of the way underneath if you don't, so it does exactly what it says on the tin. This is a beautiful product, great quality, value for money, and absolutely worth waiting for. I'd definitely buy it again if only I needed a third!

I love this. I use a MacBook at work in clamshell mode. My monitor is stupidly large, and it is impossible to screen share without it appearing tiny on the other end.I can quickly flip this stand over, open my Macbook while I screen share that window, and then flip it back when done.I purchased some sticky back felt on a roll and put it all around to protect the Mac when sliding in and out; now it's perfect.

The rod piece does not fit tightly into one side. That leg can then swing around, while the other side is perfectly tight. This really only matters when I want to switch the stand mode, but is annoying nonetheless.Otherwise, it looks nice and does its job.

I got this for my work laptop so my cats couldn’t jump on the keyboard. Now I stash the keyboard under the laptop when I step away from my desk and the problem is solved. I wish it had an adjustable height, but I knew that wasn’t a feature when I bought it. Great product overall.
