I have no idea how to use these stencils on coffee but they are awesome for brownies or large (3") cookies. Some designs work better than others, but the coffee beans, maple leaf and small hearts are my favorite. The stencils are fairly thin and very flexible but don't sag so placement is easy. They also wash up easily and take almost no space to store. The designs are fairly large but it's easy to tape off portions you don't want to use. I do that for the hearts design when I want just the bigger heart without the tiny one. Really cute, and great for holiday baking.

I have never had any type of stencils for coffee before. I say that because I am still not sure if my thoughts are of any value to anyone.Ever since I got a home frothing machine, I have gotten more fancy with my coffee techniques. I will say that these are fun to use. I’m not going to put any Barista’s out of work but my friends and family seem to enjoy the novelty of these.There are 16 stencils. The designs range from animals to love to coffee beans.They are super easy to clean. With the little handle, they are easy to use.For under $5 (at the time I am writing this review), they are worth it.

These are cute, but they don’t seem to work super well unless your foam is just right and you use the right amount of cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. It doesn’t hold the excess well and tends to fall back into the cup. Would work better as a painting stencil or something.

This stencil set is fun in that there are several designs to choose from. That said, they're very thin, flimsy, bendable & easily incur cracks when bent. A few already had crack lines across them when I received them. Also, they're quite translucent, so you need to remember where you set them because they're hard to see once you set them down on the counter. The other issue is that their diameter is not as wide as some cups (such as big latte cups). This puts you in the situation of having to hold the stencil very steady over the cup with one hand while sprinkling your cinnamon or cocoa powder or whatever over the stencil with the other. Staying that steady isn't very realistic, so your design can get blurred. On the other hand, if the diameter of the brim of your cup is at least as narrow as the diameter of the stencils, then you can simply rest a stencil on the brim of the cup just above a nicely flattened layer of milk froth and then sprinkle your cinnamon or cocoa powder directly over the stencil without there being any chance of the stencil's position shifting. That yields a decent result once you get the hang of it. These stencils would also work for sprinkling powdered sugar designs over desserts. As a tip, you might want to find a small tin or plastic box to store them in to keep them from getting bent or cracked. All in all, I think they're fun and worthwhile to have in the kitchen.

These stencils come in a variety of designs to use for decorating your lattes and cappuccinos.Unfortunately, they are made of very, very thin plastic, AND, they are only 3-1/2" in diameter. Which means that a stencil might NOT fit on the rim of your coffee mug, or especially not on your larger latte mug.You might have to hold the stencil slightly ABOVE your drink (or cookie, or whatever), which will be very hard to do because of its extreme flexibility. Or, you'll have to place the stencil directly ON the drink or food, so you can sprinkle chocolate, powdered sugar, etc., on it to decorate the piece.This set is adequate, but it would be so much nicer if it were made of stiffer material, and perhaps just a touch bigger, so it could sit on your coffee mug a bit more securely while you're decorating.
