First off, the threader part is great - that I do like. It's thin enough to go through even the smallest eye needles. But the cutter end - ugh - no. Not good. They are either crooked, not sharp or both. And they tend to fray the thread when cutting. I like a clean cut on my thread, not frayed ends. So, I am only able to give this product a 2 out of 5 stars.

I purchased these mostly for the embedded razor cutter, it’s easier to carry this than to have scissors in my bag. Cuts yarn cleanly, I have not tried on thread. The needle threader would be perfect for thread or embroidery floss, it’s a little fragile for yarn (but I’m not taking away stars, as that wasn’t my goal when buying). Great little gadget to tuck in your crochet or knitting bag.

I have ordered a bunch of different needle threaders, and so far, these are the only ones that fit through my thin beading needles and still take up to 2 strands of embroidery floss. The first one of these I used lasted 4 months, the second lasted 1 month; I've never had a wire threader, ESPECIALLY a fine one, last more than a couple days, so I'm stocking up on these.

The blade is buried too deep. There isn't enough sharp edge to get it to cut. There isn't even enough edge to saw the yarn. The threader is fine but not much better than folding the yarn into a needle. It isn't even worth the effort of finding it when I need it.An absolute waste.

I've always preferred this simple type of wire threader over the more recent mechanical ones: it doesn't take much drawer space, it doesn't need to be placed on a surface in order to use it, it doesn't break the bank if you lose it, and it fits the tiniest needle eyes. But let's face it, a wire threader will pull apart if used with overly thick cord, and the wires will bend if it's pushed around in the bottom of a drawer. So I've decided to just keep a few extra in stock in case of loss or breakage.I've tried the others: Singer, Dritz, and Sew-Ology. In my opinion, this one beats the others because:• The wire is slightly longer, so it works with my machine as well as hand needles.• It comes it a 5-pack, the perfect number for me to put one near the machine, one in my hand sewing basket, and have a few extras.• Bright colors make it easy to find in the drawer.• The thread cutter is handy. It's not the sharpest cutter I've used, but for the price it does the trick.
